Where most people stop

Want to paint, but hate the stress of mixing colors, matching swatches, and ruining a piece because you guessed the wrong shade of blue?

What we took out

We eliminated the guesswork. Every printable on this site is built around one specific 240-color numbering system. The number in the shape has one marker code beside it in the key, and that code is printed on the cap.

Where you end up

Just pull the marker, fill the shape, and watch a masterpiece come to life. Perfect for shutting off your brain after a long day.

How the numbers work

Region 1 is marker DS-186. That is the entire system.

The number printed inside a shape points at one line in the key, and that line names the exact marker code. You pull that pen, fill the shape, cap it, move on. No color mixing, no swatch matching, no deciding what "burnt sienna" is supposed to look like.

It only works if the codes are real. Every color on this site was read off Languo's own published color tables and cross-checked against each other, code by code.

Print it

Pick a paper size and the PDF is laid out for it, with the color key on its own page. Letter and Legal go through any home printer.

02

Pull the codes listed

The key names every marker the file uses and how many regions it fills, so you set out eight pens instead of two hundred and forty.

03

Fill light to dark

Lights first, darks last, each region dry before its neighbor. Two thin passes cover the printed number cleanly.

Which set you need

All sixteen files together call for - different marker codes. That number is what decides the set, not the artwork and not the paper size.

Affiliate links, same price to you

Languo publishes a color table for the 240 and the 288, so those are the two sets these files can name codes from. The 240 is the smallest set that covers every code here. Below it you are buying a different, unpublished color list; above it you are buying range, and the pens get cheaper the further up you go.

The codes these sixteen files call for

Any set with these codes works, and every key names its colors so you can match by eye instead. The files stay free either way.

Or make one from your own photo

Drop in a picture and it becomes the same kind of template, keyed to the same marker codes. The whole thing runs inside this page, so the photo never leaves your machine.

Before you ask

I already own markers.

Then use them. Every key gives the color as a swatch and a hex value as well as a code, so you can match by eye. The codes only save you that step if your pens carry them.

Can I use pencils or paint?

Yes, though the regions are sized for a marker nib and the printed number needs opaque cover. Acrylic markers hide it in two passes; pencil does not.

Why a number and not the code in the shape?

Languo codes look like GB-402. Six characters will not fit legibly inside a small region, so the shape carries a number and the key turns it into a code.

Are the files really free?

Free, ungated, and staying that way. If you buy a set through a link here, Languo pays a commission at no extra cost to you. That is what funds the new files.
